… but how’s Ben’s jump serve?

September 4, 2008

If you’ve been around The Bridge for anytime at all, you know that Ben Lawson is a guy that God’s using tremendously in… well… almost everywhere.  Apparently Ben’s been feeling neglected this week, so in effort to compete with the Lance-Dance, Jim’s Circus Act, and the Grandpastor Groove, Ben Lawson has been working on his jump serve.  Seriously, is there anything this guy can’t do???  Well, let’s see…

Scale of 1-10, what do you give him?

I’m not going to score you. Judge not lest I be judged. I’m just sorry Ben, sorry.

In order to be judged as a “jump serve” shouldn’t there actually be some “jump” involved? I rate it a 5.

With a vertical leap of maybe 6 inches, I’d have to give him a 2, but BEN WE STILL LOVE YOU!

Has anyone other than me noticed that it’s the men of the church who keep displaying their “talents”? Hmmm…. Josh – isn’t there a parable about talents that perhaps you should preach on?! I think the guys should stick with their God-given talents instead of the talents they “think” God has given to them!

I just laughed out loud @ Sue’s comment. If the ladies would start showcasing their talents, we’d see how they fared against our men. Eh, Sue?

We women are way too smart to actually allow anything to be photographed or video taped!! PS – I think someone needs to take Josh’s camera phone from him!! 🙂

I’ll give Ben a 10 for entertainment purposes, but only a 1 for functionality seeing as he scored no points for his team during his many attempts at this serve.
