A word to Bridge Members (and anyone willing to pray for us)

January 21, 2009

In the last few months at The Bridge…

  • Almost $14,000 was given to spread and live the gospel at the Gift For Christ offering
  • Over 20 people have moved into small groups for the first time
  • 4 people have given their lives to Christ through faith in the gospel
  • Our gatherings have grown from about 85 to 130 last week
  • God has solidified 3 positions on our leadership staff – Worship Leader, Student Pastor, and Children’s Minister

We need to keep our heads on a swivel.  Satan will not leave what God is doing at The Bridge alone.  2009 is going to see a lot of change with us moving to a new location.  It’s time to settle in, breathe grace, commit ourselves anew to God, and be passionately pursuing peace in our church every chance we get so we don’t get distracted from our mission.

Never be afraid but always watch.  We have an enemy that is “always on the prowl.”

You can see, feel, and touch what the Holy Spirit is doing at The Bridge right now and it is sooo exciting! No where I’d rather be than in the midst of this committed family of servants… most authentic, loving, and hard working you will ever meet, yet ready to do battle for each other, the lost, and Christ as the need arises. I do believe we are on the verge of HUGE impact so we need to keep full steam ahead and stay the course… whatever, whenever, wherever He leads. I’m so excited!!!

You’ve got a mess of people at Union praying for the Bridge right now. We’re excited to be a part of the Bridge through prayer and are very excited as we look to the Bridge as a shining example of how God leads a church. Keep it up guys.
