Thank you, Crossland Community Church!

January 17, 2010

Bridge Family,

As we promised, we want to give everyone an opportunity to say ‘Thank-You’ to Crossland Community Church in Bowling Green, KY for painting beautiful murals in our Pre-School rooms.  (I am still in awe of how great they look!) Crossland sent a team of 7 artists to The Bridge this past Monday and Tuesday, and were able to complete all three rooms within 20 hours!  They did a truly amazing job!  Here’s how the rooms turned out…

Bridge Family, post your “thank you’s” to Crossland in the comments section by clicking on the “comments” link right above this post.

Crossland, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for blessing The Bridge in this way.  We appreciate each of you, and it was so good to get to know you guys!

Crossland Team – you guys will seriously never know how much you blessed the church family through your work. Watching some of the kids walk into their rooms 30 minutes early this morning and just sit and “play with the walls” was incredible. I know it was a huge sacrifice for you guys to come down – giving away your vacation time, family time, money, and energy – just to help us. You guys worked until 4am and collectively vomited twice (sorry, Annie).

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the INCREDIBLE GIFT!!!

Well, we visited The Bridge for the first time in the last couple of weeks and our kids didn’t want to leave the Children’s Ministry. I can’t wait to see their sweet little faces when they see this next time. Thank you, Crossland Community Church for ministering to another church like this.

The babies and the Knisley’s really appreciate you folks using your gifts and talents to enhance our Sunday morning place. The blue room was so good, when I saw all the fish and treasure I thought I needed to hold my breath!
God bless you and your families!

My 5 year old kept going in the circle between the “meadow” and the “park” looking at all the detail and talking to all the animals…she is so excited about it all! You all did such an amazing job in such a short time! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for giving us such a blessing and sharing your time and talents with us!!

Hi Leeza, Gregg, and everyone at Crossland,

There is no way that I can thank you enough for bringing the team to The Bridge to paint in the children’s ministry area. We had a building for our kids to get to know Jesus in, now we have a home for them to do life with Jesus in. The intricacy and professionalism of the work is such that our people instantly realized just how much we care about kids and I think this will be even more impressive to guests.

I sure love all of you at Crossland. You are making a difference in Bowling Green and in Spring Hill. Thanks for taking the gifts God has given you and making them an offering to a our church.

Oh yeah, I am now a worker in the 5 to 7 year old Sunday School class. What a journey!

What an exciting day for The Bridge to come in yesterday and see the fruit of your labor! Our kids and parents were so excited. I teach in the “green room” or meadow room. Walking in every Sunday now will make me smile. I know you worked very long hours, sacrificing a lot but I hope as I wrote before that you feel God’s pleasure in your work for His kingdom. Thank you SO much.

Absolutely amazing! Thank you for your patience and willingness to work around our crazy schedules to serve a group of kids you probably won’t get to see this side of heaven. Sure, the work is amazing – but the heart of the team shines through the brightest. I am only sorry I did not get to stop by while you guys were working – but then, you may have kicked me out so you could stay on task!!

You are a great example of using your gifts for “the least of these” and not expecting anything in return. Thank you for serving…

Oh…my…goodness!!! I wanted to cry when I saw the rooms. They are absolutely beautiful. I cannot wait until I teach again so I can just sit there and enjoy the scenery (oh yeah, and watch the kids too!!) I know, like myself, they are going to be thrilled to come in each week to such cute rooms! Thank you for all your time…you guys are awesome!!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I know you don’t get to see the fruit of your labor in it’s fullest sense, so I’ll tell you that yesterday many fussy babies were cheered and soothed to the charming pictures you painted on a wall. I know you put so much time and effort into it, and we are just so thankful! I have one child in each of those three classrooms, and they were all just so amazed at their rooms. Thank you for sleeping on the floor and working until 4 am for little old us. This is just another example of lavished grace, nothing earned or deserved but just a precious gift. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
